Our mission is to connect grieving fathers in community, to give voice to their heartbreak, and to help them find peace in lives defined by absence.
We connect grieving fathers with each other and the daily beauty that still surrounds us, attacking loneliness and despair with wild beauty and open-hearted connection.
We forge these connections by leading grieving fathers through wilderness retreat intensives and connecting them with stories and resources that elevate the love beneath the heartbreak.
Jonathan has spent the better part of his conscious life seeking awe in the wild places of the world. He is also an experienced facilitator, having spent the past 17 years helping management teams and governing bodies solve large-scale community challenges. These skills, and these passions, are the tools he leverages to create community in grief.
Jonathan is the proud father to two children, Hannah and Oscar. In 2020, three-year old Oscar died in a terrible accident. Jonathan knows the burden of strength this experience requires. The anger, the shame, and overwhelming despair. He also knows, through hard-earned lessons, that love, community, human connection, and gratitude are required on the healing path. His calling is to help create these conditions for other grieving fathers.
If you are grieving the loss of a child please consider joining us in a safe space to connect with others and access the love you feel beneath that pain. The only way beyond is through.
